Sunday & Bank Holidays: 11am–5pm

Advance notice: We will be closed on Monday 7th September for fire alarm testing and a thorough deep clean, including carpet cleaning.

From Tuesday 8th September – Stay & Play
Monday–Saturday: 10am–6pm
Sunday: 11am–5pm

We occasionally host private sessions and parties, so if you’re planning to walk in, please check that a session is available for your chosen date and time before travelling.

We’re located in the heart of Southend, directly opposite the main Sainsbury’s, in an area that’s fast becoming the city’s restaurant quarter.

We’re just:

• 2 minutes’ walk from Southend High Street and The Victoria Shopping Centre
• 5 minutes’ walk from Southend Victoria train and bus stations, Beecroft Art Gallery, the Planetarium and museums
• 10 minutes’ walk from Southend Central train station and the City Library
• 15 minutes’ walk from Southend seafront and pier, the Victorian gardens, SEA LIFE Adventure and Adventure Island

Getting Here

By Train

We’re within easy walking distance of both of Southend’s main railway stations.

Southend Victoria – approximately 5 minutes’ walk
Southend Central – approximately 10 minutes’ walk

By Bus

The No. 1 and No. 28 buses are the nearest routes to The Hang Out Venue.

By Car & Parking

We don’t have our own on-site parking, but there are several paid parking options nearby.

Paid street parking is available close to the venue, with additional parking available at nearby car parks, including the University car park and Sainsbury’s car park.

Please check the individual car park’s current charges, restrictions and maximum stay before leaving your vehicle.

Accessibility & Families

We’ve designed The Hang Out Venue to make visiting with children and families as easy as possible.

We offer step-free access and are buggy friendly, with:

• Accessible toilets
• Baby-changing facilities
• Highchairs

I KNOW this is early but planting the seed as you start making plans for Christmas & New Year

Family time is precious and holidays can be quiet. Bank Holiday was really quiet. We will open between Christmas & New Year IF we have advance bookings. If we have no advance bookings we will take an extended break with our families as lots of other organisations do. 

If we see bookings coming in we will defo open. Book now to ensure your relaxed festive hangout.
