At The Hang Out Venue, children, young people and families are at the heart of what we do. Our spaces aren’t corporate or clinical – they’re relaxed, comfortable and designed to help people of different ages feel at ease.
Whether you need a few tables for a drop-in, a quiet meeting room, our garden cabin or the whole venue, we offer flexible room and venue hire in Southend, Essex.
Exclusive Venue Hire – £200
Have the whole Hang Out Venue to yourselves for two hours. Charity discounts are available.
You’ll have private use of our main room and garden cabin, including the toys, games and activities available throughout the venue.
Our old-school snack bar and tuck shop can also be open during your booking.
Ideal for community events, larger groups, workshops, support sessions and family time, family activities and organisations looking for a relaxed, family-friendly venue.

Table Hire
Running a small group, activity or drop-in?
We know attendance isn’t always predictable, so rather than hiring an entire room, you can hire three tables within The Hang Out Venue.
It’s a simple, affordable option for drop-in support, community groups, information sessions and informal activities, while families continue to use the venue around you.

Family-Friendly Meeting Rooms
Our garden cabin provides two calm, comfortable rooms away from the main venue.
They’re suitable for meetings, workshops, arts and crafts, recording, family time and contact, support sessions, one-to-ones, small groups and community activities.
The whole cabin can accommodate up to 16 people.
Large Cabin Room – £22 per hour
For up to 12 people.
A flexible space for meetings, workshops, classes, support groups and other activities.
Ramp access is available.
Small Cabin Room – £11 per hour
For up to 4 people.
A cosy space for one-to-ones, informal meetings, catch-ups and smaller sessions where a quieter environment works best.
When hired individually, access to the Small Cabin Room is via steps.
Whole Cabin – £29 per hour
Private use of both rooms for up to 16 people.
Ideal for larger meetings, workshops, family sessions, craft activities and groups that would benefit from two separate spaces.
Ramp access is available.
Choosing the Right Space
When either cabin room is hired individually, another group may be using the other room.
For complete privacy, book the whole cabin.
If you require step-free access, choose the Large Cabin Room or Whole Cabin, as the Small Cabin Room is accessed via steps when hired separately.
