The Hang Out Venue, where eight- to twelve-year-olds, and their responsible adults hang out.
Located in the centre of Southend, we are a safe relaxed venue. Evenings, weekends and holidays hanging out is the aim of the game! Making memories with friends old and new. Online booking recommended.
Children's Hang Out Sessions
The Hang out is strictly for 8 - 12 year olds, as this age group need somewhere to hang out with friends.
We are not childcare, so children need a well behaved responsible adult.
Two hour play sessions are £10.99 per child. Up to two adults free. Additional adults £2.00 due to capacity.
Session times
Term time 16:15 – 18:15 or 18:30 -20:30
Saturday and school holidays -
09:00 – 11:00, 11:15 - 13:15, 13:30 - 15:30, 15:45 - 17:45 or 18:00 - 20:00
Sundays - 11:15 - 13:15, 13:30 - 15:30, 15:45 - 17:45

Each play session must be joined at the start. The door will close after 10 minutes.
Facilities include arts and crafts, toys, gaming, table tennis, table football, air-hockey, chess table, board games, toys, children's book exchange and reading area.
Our cafe and tuck shop is open for those using the hang out. It is not open to the general public.
Exclusive Hire
The Hang Out venue is a relaxed, centrally located professional accessible venue, with capacity for fifty delegates.
When the kids are at school we are available for hire. Monday to Friday 09:00 - 16:00
£400 half day/£750 full day.
Flip charts, white board, projector and access to facilities included.
For community groups we are able to run the café if required.
Providing a relaxed way to talk through business strategies and brainstorming key objectives. At lunch and break times colleagues can sit on the sofas or lounge on bags and play video games, challenge a colleague to a board game or just relax.
Optional refreshment and catering available up on request.
