We are a family owned social enterprise run by two local Mum’s.🧡 Designed so children and young people of all ages can hangout and gently stretch their boundaries and gain confidence with the reassurance of their adults close by. Enhancing the lives of children and families is at the heart of everything we do. Relaxed welcoming hanging out is always the aim of the game! Read our amazing reviews.
We aim to compliment not replicate what’s already available in our amazing community. As we grow, we listen to what children, young people and families need and want us to be and this directs how we as a social enterprise evolve and grow with our community. We can’t be everything to everyone, but what we are will inspire, be sustainable, genuine and successful.

What we offer
HANGOUT PLAY SESSIONS
Round the up kids, turn the screens off and come hangout and relax. Two hours is the magic amount of time, but there’s an hour option too. There’s so much to do and the time whizzes by. Adults get to chill too. With traditional toys, variety of arts and crafts including knitting, crochet and sewing, table tennis, table football, air-hockey, Wii gaming, eclectic selection of board games, chess, book exchange and reading areas and so much more, there is truly something for everyone.
Book online for guaranteed entrance or walk-ins welcome. Up to two adults free per booking.
- One Hour £2.50 per child (under 1’s) £5.99 per child (age 1 – 18)
- Two hours £5.00 per child (under 1) £10.99 per child (age 1 – 18)

- Play pass £30.00 per child weeks day, or £45 for weekends and half terms.

Off Peak Play passes are £30.00 and give 20 hangout sessions per child (with up to two adults free per session). This is perfect for playdates, coffee catch ups, working from home parents and connections for home educated children and young people etc. To be used Monday to Friday’s 9am – 5.30pm – excludes weekends and half term.
The Full Hang Out Peak Play passes are £45 and give up to 28 hangout sessions per child (with up to two adults free per session). This is perfect for playdates, coffee catch ups, working from home parents and connections for home educated children and young people etc. To be used Monday to Sunday 9am – 5.30pm – includes weekends and half term.
We recommend all customers book online for guaranteed entrance. Play pass = saving of at least £189.80
NB: We do not have play pass for under 1’s. You may purchase this play pass if it will save you money. Hangout price for under 1’s is £2.50 per hour or £5.00 per two hours

Relaxed networking for everyone in a child friendly venue. Running a business plus trying to connect with others is full on. If you have children you are welcome to bring them. Let them play, so you can enjoy a cuppa and network.

Breastfeeding support
We are proud to host a monthly FREE Southend Supports Breastfeeding Pop Up.
Come & meet the team behind Southend Supports Breastfeeding, The Specialist Health Visitors & Cake Club Parenting Support and connect with other parents. Includes sling and infant feeding support, if needed. Family friendly, relaxed venue with toys for all ages.

Food & Drink
The Hang Out Venue operates a ‘No Picnic Policy’ for open play sessions. This means food and drink purchased elsewhere may not be consumed on the premises.
The only exception to this is exclusive venue hire/parties. This policy is necessary for us to comply with our liability insurance and to ensure we adhere to local health and safety regulations.
